Radford beats Winthrop 59-55 |
Artsiom Parakhouski had 15 points and 17 rebounds in Radford's 59-55 win over Winthrop on Monday night.The Highlanders (12-10, 9-2 Big South Conference) built a 23-10 lead before Winthrop outscored Radford 15-8 in the final 9 minutes of the first half. Radford led 31-25 at halftime.The Eagles (6-15, 5-6) tied the game at 49-all with 6:14 left in the game on a bucket by Andre Jones, but couldn't take over the lead.Winthrop shot just 29.9 percent from the field (23 of 77), including going 1 of 20 from 3-point range (5 percent).Chris McEachin paced the Highlanders with 19 points and Joey Lynch-Flohr added 16. Amir Johnson tallied eight assists for Radford.
