S.C. State grant to help rural areas
S.C. State’s 1890 Center for Rural Cooperative Business Development received $153,782 from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Business-Cooperative Service.

The money will be used to improve economic conditions in rural parts of the state.

The 1890 Center for Rural Cooperative Business Development, whose name highlights S.C. State’s founding in 1890, was established in 1999 to serve counties throughout the state. It provides assistance such as leadership training and classes on risk management.
