Polls differ on McCain’s S.C. lead |
S.C. voters prefer Republican presidential nominee John McCain over Democrat Barack Obama. But by how much?An American Research Group poll released 10 days ago has McCain leading Obama in South Carolina by 22 points, a margin Democrats thought inaccurate. A Rassmussen poll released a day later had McCain with a 6-point lead, a margin Republicans said was too narrow. A SurveyUSA poll released last week had McCain with a 19-point lead, not far off from the 2004 margin between Republican George W.
