Chapin High looking into complaints
Lexington-Richland District 5 officials are looking into allegations two staff members at Chapin High School engaged in “inappropriate behavior” with a student.

Officials wouldn’t identify the staff members or their positions but said Friday the pair have been on paid leave for a week.

Staff members’ names can be withheld from the public while the inquiry is under way, district spokeswoman Michelle Foster said.

The findings will be referred to Lexington County deputies for review for possible criminal charges if school officials feel that is warranted.

Sheriff’s deputies have not received any report from school officials related to the allegations, spokesman John Allard said Friday.
