How many ways can young people get into trouble on the Internet and a cell phone?

Plenty.

And Don Cantrell, South Carolina’s traveling cyber-evangelist-guru on Internet safety, has made it a mission to share those ways with parents, to help them better keep their kids out of harm’s way.

One rule stands above all: Never let kids 16 or younger keep a computer in their bedrooms or another private place where they won’t have the possibility of an adult passing.

“Allowing a child to have a computer in their bedroom is kind of like taking them to Times Square and leaving them,” Cantrell said.
