Area flirts with snow chance tonight
If no snow fell overnight, don’t fret. There’s another shot for a dusting tonight.

Temperatures are expected to sink below freezing tonight, and there’s a slight chance of snow showers, according to the National Weather Service. The best chance will be between 7 p.m. and 3 a.m.

The Midlands has been flirting with the possibility of snow for a week.

The weather system that prompted the first snow predictions moved up the Atlantic coast Monday but shifted farther offshore than expected, cutting down on the chance of rain or snow in the Midlands.

A second pulse of cold air from the north will move into the state tonight, possibly accompanied by a little moisture.
